It has been a while since our last post – life has been busy and there has been a lot going on locally, nationally and globally for us to consider. That said, we have not been idle, as Stefano and | have been working on polyphonic documentary projects in our respective localities: me in Avonmouth, a small village which grew up around the Port of Bristol, and Stefano around Lough Corrib, a Special Area of Conservation near to Galway City.
These projects are starting to come together and we can’t wait to share them, both with the Polyphonic Documentary community and with wider communities of interest.
There is so much to say about applying our ideas into community contexts and developing them further along the way. We also still have things to say about the Extreme Heat project, in particular the amazing work that Karen Boswall did, both on her own and with a small group of Polyphonic Documentary collaborators around around affective/sensory engagement with sound and colour.
We will convene some more meetings soon and want to hear about your projects too, so watch this space!
