In March 2021, we held our first Reading Group session. This meeting was to begin to delve more deeply into Bakhtin’s theories on polyphony and to consider it in relation to his wider work on dialogism, heteroglossia, carnival and aesthetics.
This session was recorded but is only available for attendees and those who sent their apologies through, to help create an environment for informal discussion and exchange between participants.
We will however, expand on this post in the near future to report on the key issues discussed. There is also a section in the Polyphonic Documentary Community on Discord with a link to the reading, as well as a discussion thread for this and subsequent reading group sessions.
