In December 2020, we held an online meeting to which the attendees of our i-Docs Community Conversation and other interested parties were invited. This meeting was to discuss polyphony in practice within i-docs and to launch our polyphonic documentary community on Discord.
The session covered tools and methods, at which several developers within the community did lightning presentations on the potential of their tools for polyphonic documentary. We then discussed the different approaches that these offer and discussed ways in which we could work with these tools to collectively explore approaches to polyphonic documentary.
This session was purposely not recorded, as it was intended to encourage informal discussion and exchange. It did, however, mark the beginning of our community on Discord where there is a section on existing tools plus a discussion thread.
